Four people, including 1 police officer, were arrested by the police, after they were involved in a fight which also aggravated the use of weapons.
The incident happened on Thursday evening, while as a result of the shooting, 3 people were injured. The police announced today the arrest of the citizens:
Sahit Ahmetajt, 55 years old, police officer, resident of Fushë-Krujë, suspected of committing the criminal offense "Deliberate murder", remaining on trial, committed in cooperation,
Adrian Ahmetaj, 45 years old, Fatos Sela, 33 years old, Ylli Sela, 40 years old, all three residents of Mamurras, suspected of committing the criminal offenses "Deliberate murder", remaining in the attempt, committed in cooperation, and "Carrying without permission and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".
"Following the two preliminary information given on the event that happened yesterday evening, the specialists of the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector at DVP Tirana, following investigative and procedural actions, arrested the following citizens:
- SA, 55 years old, resident of Fushë-Kruje, suspected of committing the criminal offense of "Deliberate murder", remaining in the attempt, committed in cooperation, provided for by article 76/22/25 of the Criminal Code;
– AA, 45 years old, FS, 33 years old, YS, 40 years old, all three residents of Mamurras, suspected of committing the criminal offenses "Deliberate murder", remaining in the attempt, carried out in cooperation, and "Carrying without permission and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", provided by articles 76/22/25 and 278 of the Criminal Code.
The arrest of these citizens was made after yesterday evening, on 25.07.2024, around 21.30, in the place called Shperdhet, Mamurras, (on the administrative border separating the city of Kruja), SA citizens, (police officer on duty) AA , and several other people with close family ties, have argued and physically clashed with brothers FS and YS, due to a dispute regarding the ownership of a piece of land.
Afterwards, the conflict between them worsened in the use of firearms and as a result of the shootings, SA, AA citizens were injured on one side, and FS citizens on the other side, who were then transported to the hospital for help medical.
As material evidence, the SA citizen's pistol-type firearm, ammunition (2 cartridges) and cartridges, found during the investigation of the scene, were seized. The materials were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office," the police announced.
