
The police of Saranda have arrested 52-year-old Fatmir Jashari, who injured two people with a knife. After a conflict, he shot Edmond Sulo and Spiro Llambri with a cutting tool, then left. Jashari, known by the nickname "Randari", is a person with a criminal record. He has been arrested several times for illegal weapons possession and drug trafficking.
The police informs that during the checks today, ammonium nitrate, which is used to create mines, was also found.
" Today, around 14:00, in neighborhood no. 2, Sarandë, it is suspected that after a conflict for weak motives, the citizen FJ, 52 years old, injured with a cutting tool (knife), the citizens ES, 54 years old and S. Ll., 62 years old, both residents of Saranda, who are in the hospital, out of danger for life.
As a result of quick and professional actions by the Police, it became possible to capture and escort to the premises of the Sarandë Police Station, the suspected author of the event, the citizen FJ
Following the actions, the Police services, during the search in the 52-year-old's apartment, found and seized a quantity of suspected ammonium nitrate, which is used as an artisanal explosive, 16 detonator capsules and 3 combat cartridges.
At the end of the procedural actions, the crime investigation specialists of the Saranda Police Station made the arrest in flagrante delicto of the citizen FJ, 52 years old, for the criminal offenses "Deliberate grievous bodily harm" and "Unauthorized production and possession of combat weapons and ammunition".
The procedural materials will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Sarandë, for further actions , the police announced.
