Prison arrest is the security measure that the Court has imposed on citizen Sebastian Muçmata, who a few days ago wounded 29-year-old Elvis Halilaj, cousin of the mayor of Kukës, Albert Halilaj, with a firearm.
The prosecutor in the case, Vilma Kapaj, has requested in court the measure of arrest and imprisonment for citizen Muçmata, who is accused of attempted murder in collaboration as well as illegal possession of weapons and combat ammunition.
In the hearing for the determination of the security measure, Judge Suada Kurti accepted the prosecutor's request.
The perpetrator of the injury stated to judicial police officers that this incident was caused by a conflict over the job position of his brother Zeneli, who holds the position of Director of the Services Directorate in the Municipality. According to the perpetrator's statements, he is accused of having directly or indirectly influenced Elvis Halilaj's dismissal.
