The suspect, as ANSA reports, was stopped by a patrol near the "Twenty" shopping center, during a routine check, as he was unable to convincingly explain the reason for his presence in Bolzano and appeared nervous.
With minor prior criminal records, the suspect, whose age and generals were not identified, told the police that he was going to visit one of the parents, but was not convinced.
Additionally, a quick check of the car's interior revealed that the seats had been sprayed with perfume, a ploy often used to confuse the noses of drug-sniffing dogs.
Checking the luggage compartment, the officers found an elongated metal object hidden under the upholstery of the car, which later turned out to be a real "key", which, inserted into a small hole in a side part, activated a mechanical device that gave access to a double bottom.
At this moment, the officers identified two packages of drugs, which when subjected to preliminary analysis, turned out to be cocaine, with a weight of approximately 1.6 kg and a market value of over 50,000 euros.
The Albanian, whose name was not published, was immediately handcuffed and is isolated in custody, awaiting security measures and further investigations, while the network of collaborators is also being investigated.
