
The Traffic Police in Tirana has published the balance of the week we left behind, related to administrative measures and arrests made in the context of traffic violations.
From April 14-20, the police arrested 16 people for several violations, where:
- 6 people arrested in the act for drunken driving, according to Article 291 of the Criminal Code.
-2 drivers arrested for violating traffic rules and driving while intoxicated.
-1 person arrested for driving without a driving license.
-1 driver arrested for violating traffic rules.
-1 motorcycle driver prosecuted for driving without a license.
- 5 people prosecuted for active corruption against public officials.
-1 driver arrested for violating traffic rules, driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene, and obstructing the discovery of the truth.
Meanwhile, a total of 12,315 fines were imposed for various committed violations, specifically:
-774 measures for exceeding the permitted speed.
-279 measures for mobile phone use while driving.
-470 measures for not wearing a seat belt.
-234 measures for not wearing a protective helmet.
-403 measures for not giving priority to pedestrians.
-8732 measures for wrong posture.
Also, 12 vehicles were blocked for various reasons, including lack of documentation and unliquidated liabilities.
