As part of the coded operation "Safe Trip", a 53-year-old man was arrested, who was wanted for adult trafficking and providing assistance for illegal border crossing. The number of persons arrested in this operation has reached 20, while the work continues to capture a 45-year-old man residing in Tirana.

The wanted 53-year-old man, suspected of being the organizer of adult trafficking and providing assistance for illegal border crossing, for the purpose of profit, was arrested and put in handcuffs.
Following the "SAFE TRIP" operation, from the Sector for the Investigation of Criminal Groups in the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime in the Department of the Criminal Police in the General Directorate of the State Police, in cooperation with the Directorate of the Special Operational Force, it was capture and arrest of citizen FM, 53 years old, resident of Kukës.
This citizen was declared wanted, after the Special Court of the First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Aiding for illegal border crossing", committed in the form of special cooperation, "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by criminal organization or criminal group".
The operation continues for the capture of the citizen AM, 45 years old, residing in Tirana.
In cooperation with the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, work continues to clarify and document other events where these citizens may have been involved.
The procedural materials were forwarded to the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, Tirana, for further prosecution.
Operation "SAFE TRIP" was finalized after the successful completion of a proactive investigation, which took place for a period of about 1 year, within which, with the support and guidance of the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, the criminal activity of a structured group, which was actively involved in adult trafficking and providing assistance for illegal border crossing, was documented and revealed.
The investigation began based on the information collected by the Sector for the Investigation of Criminal Groups in the Investigative Directorate in the General Directorate of the State Police, for citizens and subjects, who provided conditions for citizens of different countries, to arrive in our country, with in order to continue their journey towards EU countries", the Police announcement states.
