A 63-year-old resident of Bërzhitë has been arrested by police after discovering several firearms in his apartment.
During the search of the 63-year-old's apartment, officers found and seized an automatic rifle, a rifle, three shotguns, two cold weapons and combat ammunition, which from the photos appear to be old.
Police arrested the 63-year-old for illegal possession of a weapon.
"The police operation codenamed "Kllojka" is being finalized, to crack down on the criminal activity of illegal weapons possession.
The services of Police Commissariat No. 1, in continuation of the work to prevent and crack down on cases of illegal possession of weapons, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Kllojka" within which the citizen was arrested:
-M. Ç., 63 years old, resident of the village of Kllojkë, Bërzhitë.
Following the operation, during the search of the 63-year-old's apartment, the Police found and seized as material evidence, 2 firearms (an automatic and a rifle), 3 shotguns, 2 cold weapons and combat ammunition.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
