The Tirana police made it possible to solve the assassination attempt that happened two years ago in "Don Bosco", where Erion Çela was killed and 4 other people were injured. As Tirana Police Director Tonin Vocaj stated, the perpetrators have confused the target.
The murder was ordered by Kassandre Noga, who "entrusted" the organization of the assassination to Kevin Such. The latter paid other people to kill Geron Hasanbelli and his grandchildren. But instead of them, 35-year-old Erion Çela was executed with a Kalashnikov.
Noga is currently in prison in Belgium, convicted of attempted murder. Vocaj stated that in order to get to the end of this event, the local authorities will request his extradition to Albania.
"It is a fact that the evidence for an investigation of this event came from the investigations that the Durrës Prosecutor's Office initiated at the time of the arrest of the Beqiraj brothers. It is understood that the criminal proceedings for the incident have been pursued separately, the Tirana police have analyzed in detail all their statements which were very important for the beginning of the investigations in the right way for the pursuit of this criminal proceeding. I thank our colleagues in Durrës, as well as the prosecutors for all the work in the interest of the event. As for extradition, Kassander Noga is convicted in Belgium for attempted murder, and it is understood that in the interest of this investigation, our authorities will request his extradition to Albania" , concluded Vocaj.
