
The 52-year-old man who stabbed a 65-year-old cook in the stomach in Menemeni, Thessaloniki on March 3, has surrendered to the authorities.
It is suspected that the 52-year-old complained about the quality of the food, and even asked for the cook, who was forced to leave the kitchen to talk to him.
There was tension between two people, who argued and in the end the 52-year-old hit the 65-year-old with a kitchen knife, as the attacker claimed to have consumed large amounts of alcohol.
The Albanian cook was sent to the hospital, while the author was on the run until he surrendered yesterday. The 52-year-old went to the Prosecutor's Office of Thessaloniki at noon yesterday, accompanied by his lawyer, and was arrested on the basis of a warrant issued to him for attempted murder. Today he appeared in court to apologize.
The 52-year-old man claimed to the authorities that the owner of the restaurant was his former partner and that he had financed the store himself. For the March 3 incident, he told authorities that he had gone to eat and made several complaints to the owner about the quality of the food and, in particular, about a piece of bread.
