The Police Supervision Agency has arrested in flagrante delicto the deputy commissioner of the Durrës Police, Kastriot Gjongecaj, and they have declared his son Denis Gjongecaj wanted.
They are suspected of committing the criminal offense of "Attempted murder" in collaboration and "Possessing weapons without a permit".
Yesterday, father and son in district No. 2 of the city of Kavaja, had a conflict for weak motives and fired a gun at the vehicle in which the citizen KK, 29 years old, was traveling.
A Durrës police officer and his son, who after a conflict for weak motives with a 29-year-old man, shot with firearms in the direction of the car in which the 29-year-old man was traveling.
The incident happened around 13:25. Fortunately, there were no injuries from the shooting.
In a press release, the Police Supervision Agency (AMP) said it has handcuffed the police officer, Deputy Commissioner Kastriot Gjongecaj, while his 24-year-old son, Denis Gjongecaj, has been declared wanted.
The Police Supervision Agency (Durrës-Kavajë Region) has arrested in the act the police officer N/Commissar Kastriot Gjongecaj, with specialist duty in the section of services to third parties in DVP Durrës, as well as declared wanted Denis Gjongecajn, as a suspect for committing of the criminal offense "Attempted murder" in collaboration and "Carrying weapons without a permit". The arrest of N/commissioner Kastriot Gjongecaj was carried out after the entirety of the preliminary investigative actions showed that in collaboration with Denis Gjongecaj, 24 years old (his son), on 08.02.2024, around 13:25, in neighborhood No. 2 from the city of Kavaja, they clashed for weak motives and fired at the vehicle in which Kiti Kazazi, 29 years old, was traveling. There were no injuries from this incident," the announcement states.
