From investigative sources, it was learned that Sokol Mjacaj, who was interrogated, stated, among other things, that if he had not learned that he would be included in the 41-bis regime, he would not have committed the murder that day.
About the 41-bis regime, the 28-year-old says that he heard from other prisoners, who told him that "you Sokol are dangerous and will be put in isolation”.
Sokol Mjacaj was also asked about the order he allegedly received from outside to commit the murder, but he maintained the same position that he killed him because of the fight they had inside the prison.
He shot 5 times with the mill pistol, and Arben Lleshi took 4 of the bullets, in the neck and chest, while the injured Indrit Shaqja took a bullet in the abdomen, and is out of danger for life.
After he killed Arben Lleshi, some other prisoners followed Mjacaj and tried to stop him, but he threatened to kill them too and then locked himself in the meeting room.
He no longer had bullets, but he threatened them that if they followed him, he would kill them. After being interrogated, Sokol Mjacaj was transferred to Fier prison.
In an effort to find out more, 2 inspections were carried out at the residences of Sokol Mjacaj and his brother in Dukagjin. The police did not find any illegal items while they seem to be living in extreme poverty.
The investigators also interrogated the other 12 persons arrested for abuse of office, among them the prison director Kamber Hoxha and other officials.
They have only explained the role of their position at work, without giving further explanations.
