RENEA and FNSH forces have surrounded the area of Astir today at noon, as there are suspicions of a hostage-taking.
According to the residents of the area, it is suspected that a boy took a girl hostage. However, it has not yet been confirmed by the police.
Meanwhile, the police and fire brigade are concentrated in the area of Astir, near a building where they are suspected to be conducting checks.
"The SQ citizen has informed the operating room that she is in an apartment on the 8th floor, and claims that she was raped by several people.
Immediately, the Police, the Investigation Group, and the fire services arrived at the scene and are working to clarify the circumstances of the incident as well as providing assistance to the citizen.
Police services are negotiating with the SQ citizen, after she closed the door and refuses to open it," the police announced.
