The Spanish police have destroyed a drug trafficking gang and arrested five people, including Albanians.
As local media reports, the operation codenamed "Servana" began in November of last year after evidence that this criminal group was operating in different parts of Valencia.
The investigators discovered that it was an organization of Albanian origin, perfectly structured and with a well-defined criminal methodology. The organization was responsible for the intensive cultivation of cannabis sativa production. Some of the people lived and spent the night in the industrial warehouses where the plantations were.
To accelerate the growth of cannabis plants, they used the latest generation lighting material and had large air conditioners to disperse the aroma. They achieved this thanks to a trick in the electrical network, generating energy losses of more than 900 amperes.
The Civil Guard carried out several different checks. In the first phase, on February 28, a search was carried out in an industrial warehouse in Xeresa and another in a beach apartment in Gandía. In the second phase, on March 25, another check was carried out in an industrial warehouse in the city of Rótova.
In total, about one ton of cannabis sativa was seized, evidencing 308 kilograms of bud in the drying process. Those arrested are charged with 2 crimes against public health, 2 with electricity fraud, 1 with forgery of documents and another with membership in a criminal organization.
