The state police, in cooperation with the Directorate of Prisons and the Internal Prison Control Service, have launched an investigation into the explosive material thrown yesterday evening in the outer perimeter of the Fushë Krujë prison.
Meanwhile, in the Fushë Kruja prison, the entire security perimeter was checked after the incident, as well as every prison cell.
It is learned that no illegal items were found among the prisoners during the search. Verifications will also be carried out on people who have recently met high-risk prisoners.
Preliminary suspicions are that we are dealing with an explosive composed of nitrate and solvent elements, which was thrown from outside the prison towards the generator area, which is about 200 meters away from the prison administration.
The prison cell siege is further away. The police are not ruling out any of the leads, a threatening message to the prison director or an escape attempt by a prisoner.
Currently, the investigation team has collected the numerous cameras located in the area to identify the perpetrator of placing this explosive.
