The interceptions of the "SKY ECC" application have caused tremors in the ranks of the police. The Special Prosecutor's Office has discovered that 11 active and former police officers have cooperated with the gangs and therefore arrest warrants have been issued for them.
Among the banned names is the former Tirana Police Director Erzen Breçani, who was arrested together with his son. Detan Gjoni, the chief of crimes at Police Station No. 6 in Tirana, was also arrested. He was arrested at the entrance of the "Air Albania" stadium, after he had gone to watch the match of the Albanian National Team.
The 11 arrested are accused of money laundering, structured criminal group, drug trafficking, providing conditions to commit murder, abuse of office and supporting the perpetrator of the crime. It is learned that their arrest came after the conversations in "SKY ECC" were discovered.
An arrest warrant has also been issued for a well-known name, Ervin Matën. He is remembered for the murder in the former Block and is known as the rival of Ervis Martinaj, who has been missing since August 9 of last year. The police searched for him, but he was not found.
