British authorities have detained an Albanian man in the United Kingdom, suspected of attempting to rape a 12-year-old girl.
The arrested man has been identified as Ershad Kurtaj and he was staying in the United Kingdom without documents.
According to a video posted on social media, Kurtaj appears detained, confronting several people. Kurtaj, as an illegal immigrant, was sheltering in one of the hotels that the United Kingdom Government uses for such accommodations, and even benefited from financial assistance.
In the published video, Kurtaj appears remorseful, asks for forgiveness, and prays not to be deported to his country of origin.
Police have not yet released any official information on the case.
