47-year-old Gentian Mithi has been arrested by police after being declared wanted for attempted murder.
According to the police, the 47-year-old was caught on the street with a pistol with combat ammunition, while a security measure of "Arrest in prison" was issued against him by the Shkodra Court.
Gentian Mithi is accused of having shot 24-year-old Jaser Osmani in the leg on May 11, 2024, in the "Salo Halili" neighborhood, for weak motives.
"He was carrying a firearm while he was wanted after being accused of attempting to kill a citizen with a firearm in May 2024, for weak motives, the 47-year-old is arrested. A pistol with a magazine and ammunition were seized. "
Following the checks carried out to locate and capture wanted citizens, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Shkodra Police Commissariat, based on information provided by intelligence, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Time".
During the operation, citizen Gentian Mithi, 47 years old, resident of Shkodra, was arrested and detained. At the time of the arrest, on the street, during a physical search, a pistol firearm with a magazine of cartridges was found on him.
This citizen was declared wanted after the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Shkodra assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses of "Premeditated murder", attempted murder and "Unauthorized production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".
Citizen Gentian Mithi is accused of having fired a firearm, for weak motives, on 11.05.2024, in the "Salo Halili" neighborhood, at a 24-year-old citizen, who was injured in the leg. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution Office for further action," the police announced.
