Tirana Police has officially reacted regarding two criminal incidents that occurred this afternoon in the capital, where one person lost his life and another was injured.
According to the police, at around 15:40, on "Kongresi i Lushnjes" street, during a conflict between several people, citizen EP, about 31 years old, was hit with a cutting tool. He was urgently taken to the hospital, but did not survive the injuries. The police inform that the suspected perpetrator has been identified and efforts are underway to capture him.
Just 10 minutes later, at around 15:50, on Kavajës Street, another conflict is suspected to have degenerated into the use of firearms. As a result, citizen AK, 34 years old, was injured, and is in hospital with a non-life-threatening condition. In this case too, the suspected perpetrator has been identified, but his details are not being made public due to ongoing investigations.
Investigative groups are continuing their work to uncover the full causes and circumstances of the two events and arrest the individuals involved.
"Around 15:40, it is suspected that during a conflict on "Kongresi i Lushnjes" street, citizen E. P, about 31 years old, was hit with a cutting tool, and as a result he lost his life in hospital.
-Around 15:50, on Kavaja Street, it is suspected that during a conflict, citizen AK, 34 years old, was injured with a gunshot wound. He is in hospital, out of danger.
The police have identified the perpetrators of these two incidents, whose details are not being released because the investigation is ongoing. Intensive work is underway to apprehend them.
