Five people were captured by the police yesterday as part of the coded operation "Repishti".
It is about Sabian Hasaj, Redi Nika, Denis Hasaj, Denisa Halilaj, former prison police officer and Mirjan Hasaj, all residents of Malësi i Madhe.
The police found 9 firearms in their car, which were suspected to be sold to criminal groups.
Journalist Esido Barkaj has shown details of the operation and disclosed the testimony of the arrested officer.
"The firearms would be sold to other criminal groups, to be used in serious crimes. The police stopped them in a parking lot on the way to the airport and during the checks they found the weapons. The four men placed in handcuffs have not spoken to the investigators. The only one who agreed to speak was the former prison officer, Denisa Halili, but without giving details. He said that he did not know about the firearms, but he was contacted by another person who told him that we are going to Tirana to accompany another car.
The goal was to sell the weapons in Tirana. The police are being tight-lipped about the investigation. There are strong doubts that this group did not do this route for the first time, starting from the scheme they had used. They were in the form of a convoy, the first vehicle looked at the road to see if there was a policeman and alerted the other car.
The weapons belong to the year 97, but let's not forget that the murders carried out in the country are mainly from the weapons of the 90s.
