An accident occurred this afternoon in Fier. It is learned that a freight train hit a 68-year-old man.
Police report that the elderly man was taken to the hospital and is under the care of doctors.
"Around 12:40, in Levan, citizen FM, about 68 years old, while moving, is suspected of being accidentally hit by the last step of the Fier-Vlora freight train, who is in hospital, under the care of doctors.
"The investigation team is working to clarify the circumstances of the incident," the police statement said.
