27-year-old Fadil Tafa has been arrested by Tirana police, while a 25-year-old woman has been criminally prosecuted, after being accused of blackmail through social networks.
According to the police, the two young men threatened a 33-year-old man with 1,000 euros to delete several photos and posts about his private life on TikTok.
Meanwhile, 21-year-old Leonard Haxhiu has been arrested after threatening a person to give up his property, an incident that occurred on 14.03.2024, following a report from a person.
"2 cases of coercion through threats to give up property are documented.
A 33-year-old man was threatened with 1,000 euros to delete photos/posts about his private life from the social network "Tik Tok", 1 citizen was arrested and another was criminally prosecuted.
A 21-year-old man is also banned for the same offense, which occurred in March 2024.
The Property Crimes Investigation Section at the Tirana Local Police Directorate, in continuation of its work to crack down on illegalities in every form of their manifestation, has organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Imazhi".
As a result of the operation, citizen FT, 27 years old, was arrested, and citizen LM, 25 years old, was criminally prosecuted, after they, in collaboration with each other, threatened a 33-year-old man for giving him the sum of 1,000 euros to delete some photos/writings of his private life from the social network "Tik Tok".
Also within the framework of the "Image" operation, citizen LH, 21 years old, was detained for coercion by threatening to give up property, which occurred on 14.03.2024, based on a report made by a citizen.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action ," the police announced.
