Korça police have solved the incident where an almost decomposed body was found in the village of Mollas.
The body was discovered by a local resident who notified the police on July 7. The police sent samples for DNA analysis and anthropological expertise to enable the identification of the body.
It is learned that today the victim was identified, specifically a 75-year-old man who lived in the city of Korça. It was the victim's wife, who in June of this year reported to the Korça police station that she had lost contact with her husband.
After scientific analysis, the identity of the 75-year-old was confirmed. Islam Figha is suspected of suffering from mental health problems, specifically memory loss (sclerosis) and died of natural causes in the village of Mollas in Kolonjë. The Kolonjë Police continue to work to fully document the event.
