A failed robbery attempt was recorded this Friday morning in the city of Shkodra.
It is learned that a person wearing a diving suit entered to rob a jeweler in the "Vasil Shanto" neighborhood, but was met with a counterattack from the owner, causing him to flee before attempting to take valuables from there.
Police say they suspect that after going outside the jewelry store, he threatened the owner with a gun to stop him from following them to catch him.
The person, while speeding away, also left the motorcycle he had arrived on in front of the store. The police have launched investigations to clarify this incident and identify and locate him.
"Around 11:30, in the "Vasil Shanto" neighborhood, a still unidentified citizen, who was driving a motorcycle, stood in front of a jewelry store and entered the jewelry store with a diving suit on his head. The owner of the jewelry store asked him to take off his diving suit, but he refused and ran away, leaving the motorcycle in front of the jewelry store," the police announced.
Meanwhile, police services immediately went to the scene and are continuing to search the area to catch the robber. The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working to identify the perpetrator and legally document the case.
