The judgment is not yet final and may go to the next level. The trial concerned a "record" case of cocaine trafficking, as the responsible public prosecutor explained in court.

In connection with the "Highway" operation, the Public Prosecutor's Office is conducting proceedings against several persons of an Albanian group. The 37-year-old already convicted, during the six months until his arrest, is said to have sold a total of 82 kilograms of cocaine in 17 cantons. The prosecutor's office has requested a sentence of ten years in prison and 15 years of expulsion from the country for the former professional footballer. According to them, he had a high status within the criminal organization.

The defense lawyer, however, said his client had only done the "dirty work". He had a low position within the group according to him.

The accused is the father of a minor son residing in Albania. He stated that he had incurred a debt of 20,000 euros with the owner of a betting shop. He offered to pay off his debts in Switzerland and promised him a monthly salary of 3,000 francs for selling drugs.
