A 22-year-old man was arrested in Lezhë, after being caught red-handed transporting cannabis sativa narcotics. Pëllumb Kalaj was captured as part of the "Tempulli" operation.
The police informs that in the place called "Kryqezimi i Gjadri", in the vehicle driven by Kalaj, a bag of cannabis with about 2 kilograms and 760 grams was found.
Specialists of the Narcotics and Traffic Investigation Section of the Lezhë Local Police Directorate, based on the information provided by the police intelligence, about a citizen who would transport a quantity of suspected narcotic substance cannabis, have organized the work within the anti-drug mega-operation of coded "Tempulli", for the detention of this citizen.
During the operation, the Police services stopped the suspected vehicle, which was driven by the citizen PK, at the place called "Kryqezimi i Gjadri". .
Following the procedural actions, the driver of the vehicle, citizen PK, 22 years old, resident of Malësi i Madhe, was arrested in the act for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics".
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that this citizen would divide the narcotics he was transporting into doses, with the aim of selling them near schools and night clubs.
Narcotics and the "Ford Focus" type vehicle were seized as material evidence.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Lezhë, for further actions. "- announced the police.
