An Albanian was arrested by the Italian police after he was caught with over two kilograms of cocaine in his car.
He is accused of drug trafficking and possession. It all started as part of checks by the Guardia diFinanza along the main road arteries between the towns of San Benedetto del Tronto and Ascoli Piceno.
A patrol, also consisting of military dogs as well as a drug-sniffing dog, stopped a Jeep Renegade car with a man and a woman in it.
During the verification of traffic documents, the dog attracted attention, indicating the possible presence of a narcotic substance in the car.
The police carried out a detailed inspection of the car, where they found over 2 kilograms of hidden cocaine, along with an amount of 12 thousand euros.
