Two Albanians, aged 37 and 30, were arrested by the Italian police after seizing a large amount of cocaine. Both Albanians were previously convicted of possession with intent to distribute drugs.
The cops of the Milan team identified the 37-year-old after using vans for rent, always different. It is suspected that with them he used to send cocaine to different parts of Northern Italy. With the help of traffic police officers, police stopped the 37-year-old near the A7 tollbooth in Assago (MI). Officers located and seized a package of cocaine weighing approximately 1kg hidden in a large air compressor.
Investigators also found a set of keys to an apartment in Sorisole (BG). Here they found approximately 40 packages of cocaine placed on the kitchen table and another 25 packages hidden in the living room sofa structure, as well as a wad of cash, totaling 6,570 euros, drug packaging material, a vacuum device, a precision scale, a scale, a notebook with accounts of illegal activity and a money counting machine.
Inside the courtyard of the building, the officers saw and arrested the 30-year-old man, who could not justify his presence at the scene, who was found with keys that allowed entry to the same apartment, which he had at his complete disposal. In total, the seized drugs amount to about 76 kg, divided into packages with different logos.
The 37-year-old ended up in detention in Milan, the 30-year-old in Bergamo.
