Two people have fallen into the handcuffs of the Lezhë police after being accused of fraud.
According to the police, 35-year-old Shkëlqim Domi and 37-year-old Saimir Sallaku have been arrested, while 63-year-old Shefik Kurti has been declared wanted.
From the investigation, it is suspected that Domi and Sallaku, in relation to the citizen Kurt, on 14.07.2024, have benefited from 15,000 euros, from the administrator of an economic operator, communicating with people at "Signal", on behalf of representatives of local companies. . On 17.07.2024, they tried to have another large amount of money, from this state, through the same scheme.
"The coded operation "Imposter" is finalized. This operation revealed a fraud scheme for the benefits of money from economic operators. The arrested are Shkëlqim Domi and Saimir Sallaki, while Shefik Kurti is wanted.
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the citizens Shkëlqim Domi and Saimir Sallaki, in cooperation with the citizen Shefik Kurti, on 14.07.2024, have benefited 15,000 euros from the administrator of an economic operator, communicating with him in the "Signal" application, in the name of representatives of local institutions.
It is also known that on 17.07.2024, they tried to benefit another large amount of money, from this citizen, through the same scheme.
In cooperation with the investigative structures of the DVP Tirana, investigations are continuing to clarify a case that happened in Tirana, where these citizens tried to benefit 20,000 euros, from a citizen, by means of this fraud scheme. So the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Lezhë, for the criminal offense of "Fraud" with serious consequences, carried out in cooperation", the police announced.
