A 21-year-old man, identified as Erjon Hoxha, was arrested by Tirana Police, as part of a police operation, after allegedly defrauding several citizens from whom he had taken sums of money, using false identities.
According to the official announcement, the young man, with the initials EH, a resident of Paskuqan, was caught red-handed while taking a sum of money from a 26-year-old woman, whom he had previously deceived on several other occasions.
After the victim filed a report, the Police launched an investigation and identified the perpetrator, who, by presenting himself with a false name and profile, had managed to gain her trust and obtain several sums of money from her.
During the investigation of the case, the blue uniforms organized the "Strategy" operation and finalized the capture of the suspect, who was stopped while trying to obtain another amount from the same citizen.
Investigations are ongoing to identify other similar cases where the 21-year-old may have used the same fraud method to extract money from citizens.
