The Tirana Prosecution Office has completed the investigations and has sent for trial the file against Nikoll Deda and Aurela Guri, respectively former President and former Vice-President of the Order of Dentists. The Tirana Prosecution Office has filed charges against them for 3 criminal offenses related to abuse of office, abuse of funds and actions contrary to the court's decision.
At the conclusion of the investigations of criminal proceedings no. 1218, of 2025, citizen Nikoll Deda, former president of the Order of Dentists, is accused of the criminal offenses "Theft committed by abuse of office", "Abuse of office" and "Actions contrary to the court's decision", according to articles 135, 248 and 321 of the Criminal Code.
According to the investigation, this citizen is suspected of having, during his tenure, increased the institution's budget from year to year for personal gain, employed family members without criteria, and squandered the institution's funds through fictitious payments and unjustified tickets.
The Prosecution has also brought for trial citizen Aurela Guri, former vice-president of the Order, who is accused of "Abuse of office" and "Actions contrary to the court's decision."
The investigations revealed that she made financial decisions without having the authority, authorizing the implementation of a temporary budget for 2024 in violation of the measures imposed by the Administrative Court since 2020.
Both defendants, according to the Prosecution, acted contrary to the law to concentrate decision-making power and funds in their own hands, damaging the institution and violating applicable court orders.
