The Tirana Court has reconfirmed the security measure of "prison arrest" for Flodian Plaku, known by the nickname 'Pole Qorri', against whom there was an arrest warrant since August 2024, in connection with the murder of Gentjan Bejtja. The latter was executed in March 2024, within the perimeter of his apartment in the village of Larushk, with automatic fire, while it is suspected that one of the people who participated in the assassination was also Flodian Plaku.
The latter was also known by the surnames Mamo and Serjani. During the hearing for the reassessment of the security measure, Plaku stated that he has no connection to the crime. He stated that 10 days before he was arrested by RENEA forces in Orikum, where he was caught in a hotel, while having lunch, he had used a 'Golf' type vehicle.
"The police came to me 10 days after I used the 'Golf' vehicle," Plaku stated during the hearing.
Meanwhile, for his capture, the police are suspected of having placed under surveillance and pursuit the persons who later led to the discovery of the base where the suspect in the murder of former police officer Bejtja was hiding.
It has been reported that police agents were monitoring the barber, who Plaku called whenever he needed a haircut, as well as another person who allegedly supplied him with food. At the time of the arrest, Plaku was in the company of Julian Aliaj, who was detained by the police. The latter said that Plaku was also found with two illegal firearms, while the operation to capture him did not last more than 3 minutes (Updated)
