The two Hoxallari cousins were accused as the people who had organized the assassination of Pajtim Serjani.
A 34-year-old man died today, after being shot several times with a knife. He was identified as Amarildo Hoxallari, 34 years old. The cause was a fight with 25-year-old Darmian Keli. It is suspected that Hoxallari had harassed the young man's fiancee the day before. But the 34-year-old is a well-known name for justice.
9 years ago, more precisely in January 2015, he was arrested, after being accused of being involved in the assassination where Pajtim Serjani (friend of Emiljano Shullazi) and policeman Roland Meta were injured. As the person described by the police as a hitman Arjanit Sterjo (or Artur Baze) was killed.
Amarildo Hoxallari, then 24 years old, was arrested together with his cousin Aurel Hoxallari, three days after the mafia assassination, while at no time did they accept the charge brought by the police.

At the time of the arrest of the Hoxallari cousins, police sources said that there was evidence that they were the organizers. The police stated that they had wiretaps and footage of one of the cousins with the assassin, footage recorded by the security camera of a private business, where he appeared with Artur Bazen on Kavaja street, a few minutes before the event.
The two cousins denied the accusations and during the escort to the detention rooms they said in front of the cameras of several televisions that they had nothing to do with the incident.
