Journalist Sokol Bregu has stated that crime in Albania needs more weapons, since almost all of them are burned immediately after the murders. He points out that since 2018 we have only one undisclosed weapon, which is connected to a murder in Vlora.
" Crime needs many weapons in use. Weapons burn, and the crime is in the search for a weapon that, unfortunately, is easily found in Albania. Those who create the conditions for a murder are important to hit. There is a balance in March, in numbers it seems big, and when we think that we were waiting for an amnesty where 600 convicts would be released, we send another 500 people who have committed criminal offenses. As for the 'Tempulli', for the most part, the court has assessed the legal arrests in 97 percent of the cases.
We know the weapons that were used in murders and that may still be in the hands of criminals. In the last 5 months, only one weapon is still unfired, it is the weapon of crime in Vlora. I don't think they have destroyed it in another way, because we don't have amateur killers anymore. They destroy the evidence directly. They don't trust anyone. Carrying a weapon that once committed a crime is a huge hardship that no one carries anymore. Since 2018, they no longer carry crime weapons. The only one that committed the crime in Vlora remains, a rifle. They only have one shell that cannot provide any scientific verification of which rifle the shot was fired from ," he said in "MCN".
Bregu proposes that in Albania the promotion of violence on social networks should be punished with a minimum of 3 years.
" It is a bit strange with the society in Albania, which is not based at any moment on forgiveness, on a different education, resolving a conflict through conversation, not every moment a knife is taken. Schools are the same, it's the generation that changes. All educational programs that talk about society, mainly for young people, are the most unwatched products on TV. The world is trying to bring the promotion of violence on social networks to 25 years in prison. We don't have to ask TikTok, identify the one who pulls out the gun on TikTok.
