A 32-year-old Albanian man was arrested yesterday on the Greek island of Mykonos, while 3 of his accomplices are being sought, one of whom has been identified.

They are accused of having created a group that committed thefts in tourist accommodation units.

The perpetrators had formed a criminal group and committed thefts in tourist accommodation, from which they took money, valuables, clothing, watches and personal belongings.

During the operation, an open area was identified where they lived temporarily in a tent and had hidden their belongings among the rocks.

From the evidence found and the analysis of case data, seven cases of theft of money and items, the value of which is calculated at over 55 thousand euros, have been revealed. Among the victims of theft is a 37-year-old Albanian woman. Among the seized evidence is a shotgun stolen in 2022.

During the search for the perpetrators, patrolling police officers and OPKE yesterday in the early hours of the morning spotted the suspects moving near their place of residence, who, seeing the close control, ran away. However, later during the checks, it was possible to arrest 32-year-old Aldo Leshi, who was caught while trying to escape. Ariol Nikolli, 21 years old, has been identified and wanted as his accomplice, while work is underway to identify and capture two other accomplices who are suspected to be Albanians.
