A 55-year-old man from Elbasan was arrested by the police, after robbing the daily turnover of 6 fuel stations that he managed. It is known that the stolen amount is worth 5 million 400 thousand old lek.
"Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, following the work to attack criminal activities in the economic-financial field and bring the perpetrators to criminal responsibility, have organized and finalized the coded police operation "Grid". As a result of this operation, citizen S. Zh., 55 years old, a resident of Elbasan, was arrested on his own initiative. This citizen is suspected of having stolen about 5,400,000 lek (daily turnover), abusing his position as manager of 6 points for the sale of fuel. As material evidence, a sum of money was seized, which was found in the workplace where this citizen was staying."
The police are also working on the arrest of the 25-year-old man with the initials EB, as it is suspected that he took a sum of money from the manager-robber, by means of fraud.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of Elbasan General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
