Notary killed in Greece, two Albanian brothers and son arrested for attempting

Three Albanians, a father, son and uncle, have been arrested by Greek police, accused of being the perpetrators of the murder of 69-year-old notary Mariza Tertseti Papadata, who was found dead near her home in Zakynthos in February.

The names of the detainees have not been made public, but their family connection and Albanian origin have been officially confirmed by the police.

The incident was revealed after an investigation by the Homicide Department, where the confession of the uncle, a resident of Nemea, played a key role. He was brought in for questioning and after being confronted with the evidence collected, he admitted his involvement and revealed details of the robbery plan.

According to him, the day before the incident, he had traveled to the island where his brother lived, with whom he had agreed to rob the victim, who they knew was keeping money in the apartment.

The two brothers took refuge in a rented room rented by the boy, who acted as the driver, and the next day, disguised in hoods, gloves and masks, they ambushed the victim near her apartment. According to the testimony, when she tried to resist, the fatal collision occurred. The notary was stabbed in the thigh and died due to massive hemorrhage.

The coroner confirmed that the wounds were caused by a sharp weapon and that death had occurred within a few minutes.

After the incident, the father and uncle walked away for more than an hour, until the son picked them up in a car. The bloody clothes were burned and the murder weapon disappeared. Only the father did not admit responsibility for the attack, unlike his son and brother, who confessed everything.
