The show "Stop" has returned to Korça, where on June 14, 2018, 18-year-old Antonio Karafili was killed in the Soda forest.
"They say 7 years, 7 years. My soul knows how much I suffered for that child," says the mother of the late Antonio Karafili after 7 years.
The serious incident has been followed and covered for years by the show "Stop", however, the manipulations that were made by forensic experts and several prosecutors in a row.
At the end of October 2020, the show "Stop" for the first time presented the case as the young man's suicide. The person who saw Antonio for the last time in life was his girlfriend, Kejsi Spahillari, 17 years old from Korça. She told several versions of the event, shedding light on the dynamics of the tragedy of which she was the author, but also adding to the suspicions.
According to experts, the signs were clear, but the first two prosecutors, Oli Visi and then Odeta Todorrushi, did not want to see them.
" For me, Stop is a very intelligent and excellent "student" because with the series that you have reflected this event, you have reached a deduction. It is a very serious event that has also received the attention of the academic sphere. I want to tell you a secret, this is the second semester that we have given this as a case study and four days ago this was given as a case to a group of criminology students. The first response they gave was 'professor, this is murder ', said expert Ervin Karamuço.
" The legal expert has a duty to base his decision on facts and evidence. The facts and evidence were in the file. Avoidance of evidence and facts distorts the forensic medical expertise. No matter how hard someone tries to deflect the evidence, to deflect the facts. In this case, we have a deviation of evidence and facts, the evidence says one thing, the facts say another. You can give as many opinions as you want, but an opinion given by an institution, when this decision is not based on facts and evidence, has a very negative impact on the institution. Especially since the institution is involved to some extent in supporting or being the source of the crime. The institution's duty is to to solve the crime in real time. For science I said that there was no need for much arithmetic operations, from a professional point of view the bruise reflects from a distance. Then I don't understand either what forced Bledar Xhemali to come up with some decisions and ignore the evidence and facts that are right in the file. I can't understand it , "said another security expert.
On the day of the incident, June 14, 2018, Kejsi took Antonio's mother and brother in her car and drove them to the Voskopoja forest, where the latter later found the 18-year-old hanging from a pine tree. According to sources provided by the "Stop" show, Kejsi Spaillari had notified her mother hours earlier that Antonio Karafili had hung himself from a pine tree. Kejsi even sent her a message:
