The murder of the 40-year-old Albanian woman in Greece by her husband a few meters from the house has shocked the public opinion in Athens.
The brother of Enkelejda Danaj, the victim of the knife attack, has spoken about the serious incident, saying that his sister was often the victim of abuse and threats from her husband Arben Danaj.
"He is violent and while there have been three complaints, there have been over 40 incidents. He threatened her several times with a knife. When she was pregnant with her first child, she dunked her head in bleach. He constantly threatened the children, he drank a lot", he said.
He then states that all the victim's family wants is justice.
At the same time, a witness from a bar says that the 50-year-old perpetrator remained near the scene a few hours after the victim's murder.
"We saw the perpetrator after the murder, around 8 o'clock, as the police and ambulance had arrived, being near the scene and seeing what was happening."
Today he has admitted the serious crime and is expected to appear before the prosecutor's office.
