New details have been made public regarding the murder of 30-year-old Endri Goxhaj , which occurred on Tuesday evening (April 21) in Memaliaj.
Police have announced a search for two brothers, Donaldo and Marjaldo Nela , suspected as perpetrators of the incident. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the victim and the perpetrators were divided into two groups, between which there was an exchange of fire.
As a result of the shooting, the brother of the two suspects, Dali Nela, was also injured .
Sources from the investigation indicate that the conflicts between the parties have been ongoing for a long time and are suspected to be related to activity in the field of narcotics.
Meanwhile, one of the suspects, Donaldo Nela , is a person with a criminal record, previously involved in drug trafficking as part of a structured criminal group, busted by the Saranda Police in 2018. He is also being investigated for a robbery of a currency exchange point in Tepelena.
As for the injured man, Dali Nela, sources indicate that he is a son-in-law in the Kalemi tribe.
As part of the investigation, several people have been interviewed as eyewitnesses or people who may have knowledge of the conflicts between the groups, but according to sources, their testimonies have not helped so far in fully documenting the event.
