Among those arrested for the murder of Kristian Marku are Martin and Saimir Reçi. Police today arrested 4 people in Rrëshen, as people who may be related to the murder of the 30-year-old.
In March 2023, Kristian Marku fired a gun at Saimir Reçi's armored car. They have been questioned by the police and their testimony is expected to be revealed.
The 30-year-old was executed yesterday evening on the Fier-Vlora highway. The main line of investigation is focused on revenge between these two tribes, while the police have raided the apartment of Kastriot Reçi's family in Rrëshen.
It is suspected that there were 3 perpetrators who ambushed him at the Novosela overpass. From this point, the perpetrators followed him in a car and then shot him with a 'Glock' type weapon, taking 3 bullets to the body.
The perpetrators burned the Golf vehicle a few meters from the scene and then allegedly fled towards Fier. The perpetrators' vehicle had stolen license plates, while the murder weapon was not found inside.
We recall that Saimir Reçi is the nephew of Kastriot Reçi, who was killed by sniper fire in the center of Rrëshen in January 2020.
6 months later, Kristian Mark's uncle was assassinated in an assassination attempt in Rrëshen. He was executed on September 26, 2023, just after he was released from prison, in his own bar. At the table with him, Indrit Bardhi, Ilir Bardhoku and Olti Gjini were injured.
