The Court of General Appeal has reduced the sentence for Lekë Vuksani, who on May 2, 2023 killed his cousin Petrit Vuksani with a firearm in Shkodër.
The Court of First Instance in Shkodër sentenced him to 21 years in prison, while with a shortened trial the sentence was reduced to 14 years in prison, for the charges of "intentional murder" and "unlawful possession of a weapon".
Meanwhile, after sending the case to Appeal by the defendant, the decision was made yesterday that Lek Vuksanin's overall sentence be reduced to 19 years in prison for the two criminal offenses and in the application of the summary trial, the sentence is reduced to 12 years in prison .

The guilty plea of the defendant L. V for committing the criminal offense "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", provided by Article 278/4 of the Criminal Code and his sentence of 3 (three) years of imprisonment.
Pursuant to Article 55 of the Criminal Code, the combination of sentences and the sentence of the defendant L. V to 19 (nineteen) years of imprisonment.
In the application of Article 406/1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1/3 of the sentence is deducted, being finally sentenced to 12 (twelve) years and 8 (eight) months of imprisonment", states the decision of the General Appeal.
