Emergency doctor's testimony revealed, 19-year-old Myrto fought for 77

For 77 minutes, 19-year-old Albanian Myrto fought for her life, who, according to the Kefalonia hospital's information report to the coroner, passed away at 5:48 am on April 14.

According to the records, the three accused took the girl out into the street and left her helpless in a square in front of the hotel she had booked, claiming they were waiting for the arrival of emergency medical services.

One of the doctors who arrived at the scene stated that two of the arrested did not tell the medical team that the girl had used drugs, but claimed that they had found her by chance on the street and did not recognize her.

" According to the report received at 04:31, we arrived in the center of Argostoli at 04:35. We found a girl lying on her back on a low wall. Two people who were there said they had found her a little while ago and did not recognize her. She was breathing with difficulty, had dilated pupils and a very low oxygen level ," he stated.

He added that one of the people looked familiar to him, alluding to the 26-year-old, who was a well-known figure in Argostoli. Upon arrival at the hospital, doctors attempted to resuscitate the young woman, but she did not respond and died a short time later.

A 23-year-old friend of the victim, who had met her that night, claims that she had asked to use cocaine and that he had contacted a 26-year-old man via Instagram to obtain the substance. According to him, the girl had paid for it herself.

On the other hand, the 19-year-old's family and friends deny any involvement with drugs. A close friend stated that she had no health problems and did not use drugs or alcohol. She added that she had received a message from the 23-year-old in the morning, who told her that the girl's phone was in a cafe.

According to the 23-year-old's version, he saw the girl having a seizure while they were in the room and initially thought she was joking. When he realized the seriousness of the situation, he thought of calling the emergency services, but others prevented him "so as not to get into trouble." Then, according to the testimonies, they took the girl to the square and notified the ambulance, posing as unknown persons.

The 23-year-old denies responsibility through his lawyer and states that the girl had ordered and paid for the substances herself. The 19-year-old's funeral will take place on Friday in Argostoli, while the three accused are expected to appear before investigators to give their testimonies.

Her school association, 2nd GEL Argostoli, expressed its condolences for her untimely loss, describing her death as a deep pain for the community.
