The suspected author of this event has been identified by the Vlora police as 43-year-old Gerald Shehu. The two people were inside the Grecia hotel in Dhërmi when they allegedly had a conflict.

Gerald Shehu took out his gun and allegedly hit him in the head with a bullet. He then wrapped the body in a sheet and put it inside his car. The entire event was filmed by the hotel's security cameras.

The 43-year-old then left in the Audi A8 type vehicle with English license plates in the direction of Greece. The author dumped the victim's body somewhere along the route towards Greece and then entered the state of Greece without a vehicle. The police received information through the Tims system about the movement of the 43-year-old and started the search thanks to the cooperation with the Greek state.

A few hours after the event in question, the 43-year-old Shehu was arrested at the airport of Corfu, as he had booked tickets to fly to England. The author's vehicle was found in neighborhood no. 4 Saranda. After the author's arrest, efforts are being made to extradite him. The tracks on which the event in question is suspected to have occurred are a momentary conflict as well as the disruption of drug deals. The victim and the perpetrator had acquaintances in England where it is suspected that they may have been involved in the world of crime. 31-year-old Eraldo Nevruzi had started working at the hotel in question a week ago.

The receptionist who changed shifts with him the day before, Paola Spaho, says that he was a mobile boy as she added that she does not know anything about the incident. According to her, a week ago Eraldo Nevruzi was looking for work starting normally as he said again that he did not know what relationship he had with the owner of the hotel.

The police of Vlora have been continuing the search in the area of ​​Dhërmi and Vunoi, but also along the coastal villages. Gerald Shehu was the son-in-law of the hotel owner, co-owner in the business unit. No firearm was found in the author's vehicle.
