The dynamics of the assassination that took place this evening in Vlora, where a 30-year-old man was executed with a firearm, is revealed. The incident happened along the Vlorë-Fier highway, near a gas station in Novoselë. The victim was identified as Kristian Marku, from Rubiku.
According to the information, he was driving a "Volkswagen" type car, but a "Benz" type car approached him and a volley of fire was opened from the passenger side, shooting in his direction.
It is learned that the shooting lasted for nearly 1 km, where the young man tried to avoid, but could not succeed. After about 1 km, his car ended up colliding with the protective curbs of the highway. Then the perpetrators continued straight and nearly 2 km away from the scene they burned the car on the side of the highway.
Kristian Marku turns out to be a person with a criminal record. He was also known by the name Kristi Bardhi. Earlier, he was investigated as being involved in an assassination attempt, remaining on trial. As he was prosecuted for carrying a weapon without a permit and for an incident that happened a few months ago where he and his friends assaulted the guard of a gas station, after he wanted to leave without paying.
Kristian Marku is also suspected of being the author of the March 26, 2023 incident in Rrëshen where gunfire was fired at Saimir Reçi.
" Around 6:15 p.m., near the village of Novoselë, on the Fier-Vlorë highway, it is suspected that a "Volkswagen" vehicle was fired at, driven by citizen KM, 30 years old, who lost his life.
Police services of DVP Vlorë and groups of the National Security Force Unit Fier went to the scene. Following is the combing of the area and controls to catch the perpetrators.
A special investigative group has been set up and, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, investigations are intensively continuing to clarify the circumstances and secure evidence, with the aim of legally documenting the event, identifying and apprehending the author/s ," the police announced.
