Police have revealed the dynamics of the gunshot wound to a 28-year-old man on Hamallaj beach, following a fight over a parking space.
The police have reacted to yesterday's injury in Hamallaj, Durrës, revealing details about the incident.
It is learned that 2 people have been arrested, specifically Alfons Lekgegaj, 37, and Armen Sabliqi, 18, while Altin Lekgegaj, 44, and Serxho Lekgegaj, 21, were declared wanted.
The argument over a parking space escalated into physical violence and then the use of a firearm. 28-year-old Liridon Rada was shot by 44-year-old Altin Lekgegaj, who suffered serious injuries to his shoulder and ribs.
According to the police, 37-year-old Alfons Lekgegaj, in collaboration with his brother Altin Lekgegaj, as well as his nephew Serxho Lekgegaj, after a conflict for weak motives with Liridon Rada, which was related to the parking of the vehicle in front of the 37-year-old's beach area, a conflict which initially started with hard objects and then using a firearm that he was carrying without a permit. The latter attempted to kill 28-year-old Rada, a resident of Kolesjan, Kukës.
The 28-year-old was seriously injured in the shooting and is in a non-life-threatening condition at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.
During the search of the premises of the arrested citizen Armen Sabliqi, 18 years old, two knives, which he was carrying without a permit, were found and seized as material evidence.
"The dynamics of the incident that occurred in Hamallaj are becoming clear, where a 28-year-old man was injured with a gunshot wound, during a conflict with hard objects and then with a gunshot, over the parking of a vehicle.
Two citizens are arrested and two others are wanted.
Two cold weapons (knives) and scientific evidence were seized that will serve the investigation for the full legal documentation of the authorship of the event.
The Serious Crimes Investigation Sector, at the Durrës Local Police Directorate, at the conclusion of the first investigative actions carried out in relation to the incident that occurred in Hamallaj, arrested the following citizens in flagrante delicto:
AL, 37 years old, resident of Hamalla, Durrës, suspected of committing the criminal offenses of "Intentional murder, attempted, committed in collaboration" and "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".
AS, 18 years old, resident of Boraka, Shijak, suspected of committing the criminal offense of "Unlicensed production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons".
Also, the following citizens were declared wanted:
AL, 44 years old, resident of Hamalla, Durrës, suspected of committing the criminal offenses of "Intentional murder, attempted, committed in collaboration" and "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".
SL, 21 years old, resident of Hamalla, Durrës, suspected of committing the criminal offenses of “Intentional murder, attempted, committed in collaboration” and “Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition”.
The first investigative actions resulted in the fact that on 20.08.2025, at around 17:00, in the village of Hamallë Sektor, Sukth Unit, Durrës, in the area of the Adriatic coast, citizen AL, 37 years old, in collaboration with his brother AL, 44 years old, and his nephew SL, after a conflict for weak motives with citizen LR, related to the parking of the vehicle in front of the beach area of AL, 37 years old, a conflict which initially started with hard objects and then using a firearm that he was carrying without a permit, attempted to kill citizen LR, 28 years old, resident of Kolesjan, Kukës.
The 28-year-old man suffered injuries from the shooting and is in the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, out of danger.
During the examination of the scene, hard objects such as wooden poles used in the conflict were found.
Following the work to identify and apprehend the suspects, during a search of the premises of the arrested citizen AS, two knives, which he was carrying without permission, were found and seized as material evidence.
Work continues on the full legal documentation of this event and the capture of the wanted suspects.
"The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Durres," the police announced.
