The Durrës police have hit a criminal group operating in the field of drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons.
As a result of the police action, 15 people were arrested and 3 others were declared wanted.
Kallshnikov, pistols, rifles, pairs, military ammunition and hundreds of doses of narcotics were seized.
The following have fallen into custody: Durim Meta, Florian Demiri, Flamur Tare, Diamant Shkina, Sadik Lako, Rustem Kolgjini, Zamir Hoxha, Mariglen Lisi, Saimir Sina, Klodian Sehiti, Mateos Jeshili, Ergert Patlli, Gerald Taraj, Juliano Xhaferi and Mehmet Meta.
While in search, Dashamir Mehmeti, Orgito Mema and Enis Piro have been announced.
The "Summer" police operation is finalized after two months of proactive investigations to crack down on criminal activity in the field of narcotics and illegal possession of weapons.
The finalization of the operation by the Section for Narcotics Investigations in the DVP Durrës, of the Durrës Police, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office of the Judicial District of Durrës, with the support of the Special Force "Shqiponja" and the operational forces of the DVP Durrës.
During the operation, 15 citizens were arrested and detained, 3 were declared wanted and 4 others were prosecuted.
During the operation, an arsenal of weapons, cocaine, heroin and cannabis, electronic scales, sums of money benefited from this criminal activity, vehicles and mobile phones were seized.
In implementation of the measures defined in the national operational plans "Rule of Law" and "Temple", the Specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Section at the Local Directorate, based on police intelligence, referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office for some citizens who were engaged in criminal activity in the field of distribution of narcotics and illegal possession of weapons. The Durrës Prosecutor's Office, based on the referral made by the Police, registered the criminal proceedings, which lasted two months and was followed with proactive methods.
From the totality of the investigative and procedural actions, carried out as a result of the investigation, the Court of Durrës set the measure of personal security "Arrest in prison" for 16 citizens, where during the operation 13 citizens were detained and three citizens were declared wanted who were not found during the operation for the execution of the prohibition orders, issued by the Prosecutor's Office, namely:
DM, 53 years, FD, 44 years, FT, 57 years, D. Sh., 33 years, SL, 34 years, ML, 29 years, SS, 32 years, KS, 34 years, MJ, 34 years, EP, 33 years old, GT, 32 years old, resident in Durrës, RK, 50 years old, resident in Shijak and ZH, 48 years old, resident in Kavajë.
The following citizens were declared wanted after they were not found in the apartments during the operation:
DM, 41 years old, OM, 20 years old, and EP, 46 years old, resident of Durrës.
During the operation, citizens Xh. Xh., 27 years old, a resident of Durrës, after the police found a quantity of narcotic cocaine and heroin in his apartment, and MM, 23 years old, a resident of Durrës, after the police found a pistol in his apartment.
Four citizens were also criminally prosecuted after they were found with a small amount of narcotics and were accompanied by the arrested persons.
As part of this operation, the following were seized as material evidence:
1 Kalashnikov firearm, 3 pistols, 1 rifle, 1 couple, combat ammunition, hundreds of doses of suspected narcotics cocaine, heroin, cannabis, 20 mobile phones, 7 vehicles, electronic scales and a sum of money benefited from this activity criminal.
The arsenal of weapons was found during the operation in Kavaja in the apartment of the citizen ZK where three firearms and a shotgun were found, a pistol firearm in the apartment of the citizen DM, a resident of Durrës declared wanted and a pistol firearm in the apartment of citizen MM, 23 years old, resident of Durrës, arrested in the act.
They point out that during the proactive investigations on the basis of the authorizations issued by the Prosecutor of the case, many simulated purchases were made to different people, documented with film footage, drones, environmental surveillance and seizures of narcotics.
Efforts are being made to capture the wanted persons and other persons involved in this criminal activity.
The materials were passed to the Porkuroria near the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further actions.', the police announced.
