They had employed about 60 people, who called foreign nationals, mostly Italians, presented themselves as sales agents and, through fraud, convinced them to invest in the fictitious Forex exchange.
As part of the police operation coded "Momentum", 2 young men were arrested, specifically the 27-year-old with the initials BK and the 25-year-old with the initials MK, and the 51-year-old JK and the 32-year-old EK were declared wanted.
These 4 people managed a Call Center entity on Rugă e Zalli in which about 60 employees were employed, who, together with the administrators, called foreign citizens, mainly Italians, presented themselves as sales agents and through deception, convinced them that to invest in the fictitious Forex exchange.
During the operation, the following were found and seized as material evidence: 68,000 Euros, computer units, mobile devices, tablets, payment mandates and blocks with various data of foreign citizens who were allegedly defrauded, to invest in fictitious stock exchanges .
" Finalized by the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes in cooperation with the Sector of the Special Operational Force in the DVP Tirana, and the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Tirana, the coded police operation "Momentum".
They tricked foreign citizens, through the phone, to invest in fictitious stock exchanges, 2 citizens were arrested, 2 other citizens were declared wanted, the four administrators of a call center entity.
68,000 euros, computer units, mobile phones, tablets, payment mandates and blocks with various data of foreign citizens who are suspected to have been defrauded, to invest in fictitious stock exchanges, are seized.
The specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, in cooperation with the Sector of the Special Operational Force in the DVP Tirana, and the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Tirana, after a genuine investigative work, successfully organized and finalized police operation codenamed "Momentum".
As a result of this operation:
- the red-handed arrest of citizens BK, 27 years old, and MK, 25 years old, both residents of Tirana;
- citizens JK, 51 years old, and EK, 32 years old, were declared wanted.
