A large-scale fire broke out this afternoon in Tirana.
It is learned that the used clothing market on "5 Maji" street has been engulfed in flames. The causes of the fire are still unknown, while the capital's fire services have been put on alert.
Given that the market is large and contains highly flammable materials, there is a fear that the situation could get out of control. There are also businesses, buildings, warehouses and many other buildings around it.
It is learned that 6 fire engines have been deployed and there are currently 30 firefighters on the ground managing the flames.
According to sources, intensive work is being done to prevent the spread of the flames to other areas. So far, no injuries have been reported.
