According to the head of the fire department, the fire team has documented that the premises of the villa were sprayed with gasoline, while the police structures have been notified to investigate the scene as the first suspicions are of deliberate arson.
"Immediately the intervention was done, because the villa was sprayed from all four sides with gasoline, it became possible to intervene by our forces, we asked for the group ready to help, and two other fire engines came and it was possible to extinguish the hearth completely. fire", Merko added.
But then came the reaction of the Berat police, according to which, it turns out that the author of the event was the father of the owner of the villa himself, who had undertaken this action after a conflict with his son for weak motives.
"He set fire to his son's apartment at night, for weak motives, the 78-year-old is being prosecuted. Immediately after the notification received during the night, that the apartment owned by the citizen DQ, in the "30 Vjetori" neighborhood, was on fire, the police services organized the work to clarify the circumstances of the case, as well as in cooperation with the firefighters, they made it possible to put out the fire. of fire.
From the procedural-investigative actions carried out at the scene, it became possible to identify the author of this case, the citizen Sh. Q., 78 years old, who allegedly set fire to the apartment of his son, citizen DQ, at night, for weak motives.
At the end of the actions, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in free status for the 78-year-old, for the criminal offense "Destruction of property by fire". The investigative materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office, with the aim of carrying out further actions", says the Berat police announcement.
