
The Book Fair opened its 26th edition today, under the motto "The book unites us all". One of the most important literary and book events in Albania has opened its doors to all readers.
New publications, discounted books and various activities, seminars, awards, conversations with authors will continue throughout the 5 days at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana.
As every year, the publishing houses will be present with their new and old editions, which, located at the stands on the two floors of the Congress Palace, offer the readers books at reduced prices.
Also present at this fair will be some foreign authors and translators such as: translator Ilide Carmignani, writer Viola Ardone, writer Alessio Puleo, footballer and now writer Lilian Thurman, etc.
The fair will be accompanied by a series of promotional activities, while on November 18, the 4 annual awards will be awarded, selected by the jury headed by journalist Arta Marku.
While last year the author Zija Çela won the 'Best Writer' award.
The first book fair in Tirana was the "Tirana 1998" fair, organized at the International Cultural Center in Tirana from December 16 to 20, 1998. Since this year, this organization has been held regularly.
